Caroline Tetley is a retired headteacher and joyous granny! She has always had a passion for story writing, and as a teacher, she taught writing in an imaginative and innovative way. Now with a little time on her hands, she is able to concentrate on bringing her own story ideas to life, influenced by her own children and grandchildren and not forgetting the 100s of children she had the privilege of teaching over the years.
What an amazing book written so beautifully. The story draws you into the wonderful world of childhood in such an imaginative way. It’s a true gem of a children’s book that all will enjoy and any adult reading will be taken back to their younger years in charming and engaging manner. I have just had the opportunity to read Blue Dolly - the Greatest Dancer by Caroline Tetley published by you! It was in a soft play in Whitley Bay … the book had been given by the author as her daughter works there. It’s wonderful. My 4 year old Jessie and 6 year old Jack absolutely love this story. Every time we go it’s the first thing they ask for. It’s full of humour and fun. The rhyming of the different dances in the kitchen is so good! Jessie and Jack have learnt them off by heart and we do the dances in the kitchen - not quite in the same way that Blue Dolly, Pink Teddy and Rocky do them but we try! What a happy book. The characters are just lovely. A wonderful change from unicorns and fairies. Proud that she is a local author! We hope there are more Blue Dolly adventures !
