A.M. Rane was born and raised in Ireland and currently lives in Bruges with her son. She has always been fascinated by medieval history and discovered, when she moved to Bruges, that the city is rich in medieval heritage.

She researched extensively and listened to the stories of her neighbours, eventually retelling to family and friends. Over time, she became a tour guide and with great passion, shared these stories with guests from all over the world.
