This is a story about a family journeying up to the Carolinas to celebrate Christmas together. Stella, the family matriarch, wants to carry on her late husband’s tradition of taking the whole family on a destination Christmas holiday. But it is easier said than done due to individual family dynamics. Yet, Stella’s determination pays off.

While one family travels up to Stella’s downtown condo in Greenville, South Carolina, the other two families congregate up in a spacious mountain cabin on top of Black Mountain, North Carolina. Determined to bring her family together, Stella pre-plans for a family dinner together on Christmas Eve.

This is a love story about the benefits of taking time to really make Christmas special by sharing it with the people you love.

Arlene Belmont was born in Springfield, Massachusetts. She is the mother of four grown children and the grandmother of six grandchildren. She is the owner and founder of a family-owned insurance agency located in Winter Garden, Florida. Her faith is an important part of her life. She loves travel, gardening, dining, reading and of course writing. Having a large and tight family offers a great platform for sharing her own family experiences with her readers.
