She currently works as a science teacher and a social science researcher, and her degrees include a B.Sc. in Microbiology, an M.Sc. in Molecular Parasitology and a PhD in Education. She lives in London.

The answer to the question posed in the title of this book is barely considered - this book is all about the subtitle — the art of working together. The author draws her varied experience and interviews with others into a handy handbook on ways to make the workplace a bit better (and god, isn’t that a good idea?) I was particularly struck by the chapter on change, which, like all the other chapters, had intriguing anecdotes and tools for easing the process.

This book should be a reference for all leaders at all levels. In my case I am aiming to be a leader as a classroom teacher. My favourite part was reading about the importance of building genuine "bonds" with your team on a human level by being authentic and even vulnerable as opposed to using tricks (the pen story comes to mind). Truly enlightening book! I also appreciate how the language used is straight to point and reads as authentic as the content of the book!

I found this book extremely engaging and very user friendly. The exercises are very useful, quite a few of which I hadn’t come across before. Using anecdotes throughout makes the point of each chapter relatable and human! These methods should be standard in workplaces, how much happier we all would be!
