To read a blurb is quite absurd for a poetry book like this:

Adventure galore, ironical score, drama and a lover’s bliss,

Words from the heart, a legitimate start, regrets and agony too.

Reflections abound, lost siblings found, only to mention a few.

Remembering the past, dreams that last, not to be missed for quids,

Cleaning the pool, using the tools, and don’t forget the kids!

David Thirgood has worked as an economist, a project manager and risk manager. He has had other opportunities including as an adviser in Saudi Arabia where the occasional fleeting moment aroused his creativity. He has travelled extensively throughout Australia and overseas.

However, it was working in a school in Yulara near Uluru, amongst an eclectic group of people in the vicinity of one of Australia’s foremost environmental icons, that he discovered his passion for writing. The diversity and colours of the landscape, its history and and its people were his inspiration that has continued for more than a decade.

David has had many opportunities to immerse himself in the natural environment, the true source of his stimulation.
