Deb grew up in the Black Country in the West Midlands. She always loved books and always wanted to be a teacher, and an author. She became a teacher and a mom. She has taught children of all ages at primary school for over 20 years, enjoying the experience of helping children progress. In 2024, she had a life-changing experience. Fighting breast cancer forced her to take time off her beloved job and gave her the opportunity to try new things, including painting and other art projects. Her mother encouraged her to fulfil a life dream of writing a book. What better way to make a difference to children and dogs (another of her passions). She will donate some of the proceeds to ‘Breast Cancer Now’ and ‘The Dogs Trust’ in order to give back.
What an amazing book, so engaging and such vibrant colours that capture children’s attention straight away. This book has so many levels with the challenges for the children at the back of the book too. Just love it!
