Peter Margren is an extremely successful English writer and film director at the peak of his career and under consideration for the Nobel Prize for Literature. One day at a book signing in New York, he meets a young woman. Once he discovers who she is, his life changes forever. The story of Peter's life and career unfolds in a series of flashbacks, which describe in intimate detail the events which shaped his life up to that moment in the bookshop. Meanwhile, the story continues in the present day and we find out not only who the young woman is, but also her history and how it is entwined with Peter's. He embarks upon a soul-searching quest as he reviews the past and tries to make sense of an altered present and future with joy and heartbreak as his companions. 'Daddy' is not just an enthralling family saga, but a fascinating insight into a world where wealth comes from success but does not guarantee a happy ending.
Trevor Wrenn lives in Buckinghamshire, where he writes for the most of his days. 'Daddy' is his third book to be published by Austin Macauley and since it is-in a very small part-autobiographical, it is quite important to him. He hopes that you'll like it.
