In the beginning there were cyborgs, who took over the land in the desert world, until they were slowly assimilated as the sands died away.
This book is a collection of modern poetry covering a variety of themes such as the threat of mythical cyborgs, the riotous red bull of Queen Maeve, and the haunting beauty of the girl next door. These poems spark the imagination with vivid imagery and tonal colour. The author explores a more classical approach to the romantic poetry genre.

Brendan Mooney was born in Galway, Ireland, in 1969 and emigrated with his family to Newcastle, New South Wales, in 1986. In 1987, he moved to Tasmania, where he currently lives. Brendan has a background in science and literature, and this is his first book of poetry.
