Diksha Shah is a primary school teacher in London and first-time author of Dee’s Stories; a collection of stories based on some of her challenging experiences and encounters as a child. With a passion for educating children and sharing her stories, Diksha offers a personal insight into some sensitive issues which often affect children all over the world.
The second in the series by my sister Diksha! This one is all about the time she was hit by a car at 5-years-old. She talks about the experience and how she felt while reminding children and adults alike of the importance of road safety. Would definitely recommend it for you and any littles you know!
This is a fantastic book in the series about Dee’s car accident at the age of 5. There are notes of light humour as the book is aimed at young children and at the same it is a good reminder of the importance of road safety. It is a very colourful book and I love the fact that there are questions for discussion and follow-up activities at the end!
Another really wonderful book with easy to understand language to support kids going through the same experience. Incredible illustrations throughout the book. There are some really great activities at the end with discussion questions to really help kids explore this topic!
What a very important topic aimed at a younger audience! This book raises just how important road safety is. Diksha has carefully written this to engage and inform children of how to stay safe.
As a SENDCo, it has been wonderful to utilise the books to support children experiencing similar themes to those that Dee thoughtfully recounts. A valuable asset to any school.
