Following a family tragedy, Amelia channelled her energy to embrace the poetic use of language. Amelia resonates a true depth of emotion and expression from a dark place and charms us with belief and positivity.

An accomplished athlete, Amelia Blackledge achieved the title at both English and British Sabre Fencing Championships in 2019. That same year, she was selected to play hockey at county level. A keen cross-country runner, she has competed in a number of both team and individual races. Road cycling is another passion of hers, especially cycling in the Peak District Hills. When not sport training, she plays the drums and sings in a choir. During the summer months, she is drawn to the Solent, spending her time exploring coastal harbours.

A thought provoking book of poems, which shows us the importance of family and life and not taking things for granted. A recommended read for all the family.
