Junior and his three friends, Briesse, Gale and Mittzy, had known each other from the age of six. Now fifteen years old, Junior asks Briesse to the end of year school dance. Much to his surprise, she accepts his invitation. No one can imagine how the resulting fortune and misfortune of love, heartache, tragedy, and success can follow from circumstances that were beyond their own control. However, no one could ever envisage the outcome of those circumstances.

Born in 1943, in the midst of the Second World War, W J Roberts grew up in Birmingham where he still resides. At 15 he trained as an electrician, he met Veronica at 18, married her in 1964 and they are still happily married. After writing a series of amusing rhymes for his grandchildren, Lewis and Lydia, he went on to write a series of short stories. This led to his passion for writing which now fills his retirement.
