Ella Learns the Alphabet

Meet Ella. She is an 8-year-old girl who, on one normal Saturday, befriends a young boy. Through her newly formed friendship, Ella is introduced to a world which is far more diverse than she could ever have imagined! Her determination to learn a new way of communicating through Makaton has paid off, and Ella is keen to introduce what she has learnt to as many children as possible.

Kelly is a Primary School teacher who lives in the South of Bristol. She has grown up with a love of picture books and has volunteered to work with children since the age of 14. Kelly first learnt the basics of Makaton to communicate with a non-verbal child and since then, her passion and determination to teach children has grown. When she is not spending time with her family and friends, Kelly enjoys horse riding, swimming, and countryside walks.
