Far from Home is a story about identity, motherlessness and loss. Miranda Acland worked in communications at ITV, Capital Radio and what is now Bauer for 20 years. A graduate of the Faber Academy, she is a student of meditation and has co-edited two books on Buddhist teachings. She has travelled widely but now spends most of her time at home on the Isle of Wight with her family, her spaniels, ducks and chickens. Far from Home is her first novel.
