A most enjoyable read, so inspiring to see how great Alexias love was for Nick and for her son and in spite of all the barriers and difficulties they had to overcome, has made a new life for herself and her boys. It shows true resilience and the power of love to not give up. I would recommend this book as a good read and feel it can touch the hearts of readers. Well done Alexia and hoping u have more to come.

This is a beautiful, honest, enlightening story of true love found, challenged, and taken away. It gives a fascinating insight in to a culture and attitudes so different from those of the country Alexa choose to come to.
Alexa’s faith, though tested, was ultimately what strengthened her to fight for a new life for her and her children.

    I would recommend this book.

Heartfelt and deeply moving.....I couldn't put it down. Such an honest story of the love that Alexia had for Nick. Alexia has a style of writing that draws the reader in & it gave me a true insight into the different culture & attitudes that had to be overcome. Alexia's resilience & love for her boys shines through in this book- Well done Alexia on a fantastic read & I hope this book is the first of many to come.

  • Helen

Amazing story of strength and courage.

  • Pride Dube

In a spectacular narrative form, Alexia has managed to transport us back in time to witness the magic of her young love and the aspirations of her newly found family. As reader You can’t help but melt in admiration of the memories so vividly depicted almost two decades ago. That on its own speaks volumes on the depth of her affection. Within those absorbing narrative lines, Alexia puts graphically, two sets of clashes of ideologies, that are hard to miss.

Firstly between modernity and traditionalism, and secondly between two different cultures in Zimbabwe. It is an enthralling account of perseverance in toughest times of losing a loved one. I must add that the book is dedicated as a source of strength and inspiration to Paul in particular and in general, to the rest of us… What a Good Read!
