After delivering a humorous ‘tribute’ to the upcoming president of the local rotary club, the author decided to write some mainly humorous rhymes and other items for the amusement of his family and friends, resulting in the collection which forms the subject of this book.

The author was born in July 1923 and attended the then Kingsbury Grammar School. Joining the RAF in 1942, he became a Flight Engineer and flew on operation form July 1944 until the war ended.

He trained as a patent agent and following retirement, wrote this collection initially for his family.
