Ross Farley was born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, in 1949. He started his working life as a civil engineering draftsman, became a youth worker, then a trainer of youth workers, and then worked as an educator for an aid and development organisation. He is now retired.


Ross is the author of several books. He has qualifications in civil engineering, religious studies, a graduate diploma in religious education, and a Master of Arts.


Ross is married to Lyn, and they have children and grandchildren. He enjoys reading, watching movies, walking, swimming, surfing and fishing.

    I have just finished reading Ross Farley's book Funny Stuff Happens. Loved it. My favorite story was about his Dad's false teeth.

    Such a great book! Funny family stories that are in some ways so relatable. It's jusy so hard to pick a favourite as they all make me smile, (and laugh! )

    I took Funny Stuff Happens on a flight to Japan and it was an absolute delight to read. The fireworks story made me giggle so much. A great pick for those who want to read a good book with a touch of chaos. Highly recommend!
