A beautifully told tale of a young man's modern-day journey of a lifetime interwoven with the story of a boy's final journey to Treblinka 40 years earlier. The characters are so real, and the descriptions make it so easy to move back and forth between the 2 settings. This is a true story of hope and the power of family. The ending brought this reader to bittersweet tears.

A literary gem! A tour de force! The authors bring to “life” the horrors of the holocaust as experienced by its victims and witnessed firsthand by those of us now safely removed from the Nazi evil. This work is so compelling that the reader will not be able to stop until the last word has been reached and absorbed. A must read for our generation as it seeks to reach beyond an intellectual perspective of the holocaust to an emotional and spiritual understanding of the horrors that man is capable of inflicting to the everlasting detriment of our humanity. This book will awaken its readers to a reality as “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” did to a long ago generation.

This is an incredible, interwoven tale of 2 young men. The first is a sweet young boy in Poland at the beginning of the war. The second is a young college-aged male during the late 1970's who makes an epic pilgrimage to Treblinka and the horrors bestowed there. We are taken to the earliest days of the Nazi regime and the sudden, tragic loss of innocence delivered there. We follow this young boy's heartbreaking journey and his desperate attempt to shield what is left of his family. We track the older boy's lifetime quest to travel to the place where the gates of hell were thrown open and try to make sense of the devastation that took place so many years ago. These characters are so richly created and their stories both so sadly relate-able yet this is a story about hope, and about the strength and devotion of family. Despite the backdrop and the unspeakable horrors of the war, this story keeps you looking for more. The story ends with a beautiful, unexpected small turn that is truly heartwarming in its own regard. I am so eagerly looking forward to seeing the future works of these gifted writers

This is a story about a young man (Colin) that writes a research paper for college about the Holocaust and the Nazi death camp's (Treblinka in Poland). Due to his intense research, it inspires him to travel to Poland and visit Treblinka. While visiting Treblinka he has a spiritual encounter with a young murdered victim (Janusz) from the evil Nazi's. This story display's the power of love and family. While reading it I feel as though I was literally beside the victim's that were so brutally murdered. This book is a must read for every generation wanting to learn about the atrocities carried out by Hitler and his henchmen.

This novel had me guessing where the story was going at every turn of the page. Though it recounts a familiar historical time period, the story that it tells is unique and intriguing. I particularly loved how it came full circle and ultimately is a message about peace and humanity.

Ghost of the Nightingale is a wonderful book about a tragic period of history. It has great characters that walk you through the details of that period and let you feel the impact on lives that this group of evildoers had on people like you and me. The writing is outstanding and will keep you spellbound from its beginning to its end. I highly recommend this book.

Great book that was well written and easy to follow. The lives of two individuals, one of a boys life that was taken too early during a horrific time in our history and a man who through his dreams experiences this tragic time as well.

Fantastic book. I read it in only 2 days because I could not put it down. I felt as if it were me imprisoned in the concentration camps. Kudos to the authors!!

The authors did an outstanding job of intertwining the characters with historical facts of a dark time regarding the genocide of the Jewish people in the death camps. It was hard to put the book down once you started reading it. An amazing job of writing.
