He also conducts corporate workshops and provides training in the fields of management, leadership and governance.

He has authored two books on the subjects of history (Soldiers of Humanity – Promoting Human Development, 2012) and self-management (Nine Wonderful Journeys of Life, 2014), as well as a publication on corporate governance (Corporate Governance – Guidelines and Principles, 2001).

He is an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of SBI (Mauritius) Ltd since June 2012.

He is a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA, UK) and of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA, UK).

He has 30 years of directorship experience in Boards of Directors of various private companies and public enterprises covering various economic sectors. Before his retirement from the Civil Service in July 2017, he was the Director-General of Office of the Public Sector Governance (OPSG), initially under the Prime Minister’s Office, then later under the newly created Ministry of Financial Services, Good Governance and Institutional Reforms.

He joined the Ministry of Finance in 1985 as Accountant and successively rose up the ranks to various higher positions. Between 2003 and 2010, he served as Director of Management Audit Bureau (MAB), a reputed management consultancy department operating under the aegis of Ministry of Finance and Economic Development.
