Bear lived on his own in a cold, grey lair. He wished for a friend, just someone to care.

Can Bear make a friend? Come and see! He is as friendly as a bear can be!

But sometimes making friends is harder if you’re shy.

Can Bear be brave and give it a try?

Join Bear on his mission to make friends with the help of his confidence-boosting companion, Goose. A book designed to encourage kindness, bravery, and friendliness within your child.

Rhian Lynette was born in Maidenhead and aspired to be a teacher since she was six years old. She achieved that dream with a degree in Primary Education and has taught in schools across England ever since. One of her greatest joys from teaching is enriching children’s lives with the gift of reading. Her stories are intended to support a love of reading in young children by using strong patterns of rhyme and repetition as well as providing a clear moral that they can apply to their own lives.
