Grandad Oak Stories

Grandad Oak lives in a wood in which the trees and animals magically come to life at night when all the grown-ups and children have gone to sleep.

Barry Meade is an agricultural valuer and antiques auctioneer. The stories were told to his children (now in their 40s and 50s) when travelling down from Surrey to see parents in Somerset. The artist, Mary Owen, is a retired lady well-known in West Wiltshire for her tree paintings.
