First of all, a huge shout-out to the Author, The man, Dr Hassan Yaser Malik, has written an excellent book, and words alone can't put enough emphasis on this masterpiece. This book has been my guide for my semester's subject of Contemporary China and Pakistan China Relationship. The Author's attention to detail is amazing as it shows up to date information about the use of Gwadar as the center of economic hub for both Pakistan and China. Further more, the String of Pearl strategy/ diplomacy was covered well In this book, much better than my academic books ever could. It also focuses on the issues faced by the linked projects with Gwadar such as, OBRI and CPEC. Moreover, 9 Dash line and 11 Dash line are also well covered in this book. Secondly, it has no writer or researcher bias, which some good books and authors suffer from a lot. This book has covered both sides to an argument, well written and well researched. Indeed, A fine addition to my book collection. Chapter wise I've learned a lot, such as the Importance of Gwadar for Pakistan and China, both strategically and Economically. It falls under the Heartland and Rimland theory, so for dominance, Gwadar plays a pivotal role. Also, it covers the importance of Gwadar for CAR states, as they'll better use this port for their economic growth, hence bringing stability to the region. Yes, and it also foreshadows China's hegemony in the region to counter the American presence, which is already destabilizing the South Asian region, Ultimately all power comes the hegemon, which is China, and it will further strengthen the bond of Pakistan and China. One thing that makes me love this book even more is that it highlights the future of this Gwadar Port, as it is calling potential contribution from European countries, which is the biggest green flag this project has given, besides the economic boost. Everything has been written perfectly, and I can say without a shadow of doubt, that Dr Hassan Yaser Malik has given more than 100%, and I'm proud to be a reader of his book. MashAllah, and waiting for your next book.
