This is the first novel in a trilogy following the ups and downs of the life of Evie Wallace. She is a gym instructor, with a derriere that tells you that, and from the outside is a happy and pretty young woman. Scratch beneath the veneer however and you soon discover a broken soul who is doing all she can to leave the past where it belongs and move on with her life. She lives in a quaint cottage with her cat, Henry and has a group of great friends supporting her. Evie eventually starts to date again but finds that every time she lets someone into her life she is disappointed and hurt. This is a twisting tale of anguish, love and sex.
