This story has drama, violence, humor, and adult situations.

HR Professional, Strategist, Capacity Developm... This book shows what it's like growing up in the kind of environment Pierre grew up in, with all the struggles. Dionne and Darlene's healing journey shows that people don't have to struggle alone when they are surrounded with good family and friends, you just have to open up to them.

Preston Nelson's "Hood 2 Good" is a compelling tale of perseverance, accomplishment, atonement, and constructive transformation. Tell a candid tale about Pierre's struggles to overcome a community plagued by violence as a child. The development of Dionne and Darlene is significant. I'm optimistic the appropriate readers see it.

Hood 2 Good explores Pierre's journey through hardship and crime, and how small acts of kindness transform lives. The themes of resilience, loyalty, and survival really stand out. Love that the book explores complex relationships and trauma recovery, like Dionne and Darlene's story. I'm interested in the authentic story of overcoming odds.

Since he was nine years old he learned about boxing and fighting. He also learned that he should not be an 'E fighter' - that means not to be an 'Emotional Fighter'. He became best friends with Ben and they grew to be like brothers. They were both from a very poor background and stayed in a very bad area in Quindaro. When they were 12 the two boys worked at a suitcase company and on their last day were paid sixty dollars. They walked home and the two boys went their separate ways. He walked through an ally and got jumped by five older boys and beaten up very badly. It was a miracle that he survived. Later a group of his friends, him and Ben identify the older boys, forced them into an ally and took them to Quindaro Park. There they buried them with only their heads above the ground. They were left to die. That was called the 'Dig' - Very interesting book. Sounds like a typical gangster story. I would like to finish it. Congratulations on BOTD

I really like the idea of "Hood 2 Good" by Preston Nelson. It's important to explore what it's like to make good choices when life has dealt you a hard set of cards, but not if it means disrespecting others, in this case, the LGBT+ community, unless it was congruent with the plot somehow. It's a great premise, though. Congrats.

Gutsy read! This book throws you into the harsh reality of survival, where every day's a battle. The boy's story's a punch to the gut, but it's also a testament to resilience

What stood out to me is Pierre's struggle to rise above crime and hardship while resisting the easier, wrong choices around him. The story's focus on resilience, honest family conversations, and how small acts of kindness can change a life makes it feel raw, realistic, and ultimately hopeful.
