Born during WWII the heroine experiences the love of her life at a young age. Her aim is to become a famous concert pianist but there are trials, disappointments as well as success.

Emotional and financial problems scar her adult life, but her heart frequently dictates her subsequent response, with more than one disappointed male admirer. Her life abroad proves exciting followed by another major relationship on her return to England. Will she finally find lasting happiness in her career and love life?

Gillian Eden-Walley is a retired concert pianist. Her early studies were with a pupil of Tobias Matthay and then at the Royal College of Music in London with Angus Morrison, Cyril Smith and Herbert Howells. After winning the Countess of Munster Award she settled in Devon, giving recitals, television and radio performances. Gillian Eden-Walley also established a reputation as a first-class piano teacher. She returned to England after two years abroad and settled in Berkshire, giving the occasional charity recital and enjoying her passion for the garden.
