This colourful alphabet book is for early learners to discover the sounds of the Kiswahili language alphabet through fun illustrations. The illustrations are attractive to young learners and are easily traceable objects that the learners can identify in their day-to-day activities.

The author is a seasoned banker with over 20 years of banking experience. Having seen the challenges faced by young learners in learning Kiswahili for academic purposes and also as a language, she saw the need to assist other learners, especially in terms of sounds and memorising words. She has therefore started a series of books beginning with the Kiswahili alphabet in a well-illustrated book containing colourful and relatable pictures. The words used are also carefully picked from day-to-day items/affairs which the young learners can relate to. The author has made sure that the words and photos can be recognised by kids all over the world to make learning fun and easier. The title of the book translated to English means “Kiswahili, Reading is Fun”. The book is pictorial to aid the learner to connect the sounds to the visual aspect of the items seen in our day-to-day lives, thereby making it easier to remember the words. This book is the first of many to come.
The content is age appropriate. The illustrations will permit faster and motivated learning.

Wow! Awesome book for young readers. The colors are captivating and the content is easy to comprehend. My daughter enjoyed perusing through it and her older brother was more than willing to help her sound the objects in the book correctly.
