After a lifetime of reading scientific treatises, my abiding enthusiasm for verses has only been enhanced – because they can come to the point in such an elegant and memorable way without a preponderance of explanatory words. I will leave it to the readers to judge how successful I have been in maintaining this virtue with the modest collection of verses here.
