Book Description

Longwinded is a storm of voice and vision, where poetry breaks its own boundaries and memory refuses to stay quiet. Sadiki Connickie writes with the pulse of the Caribbean and the fire of a man wrestling with language itself. These are not poems to skim; they demand to be felt, to be carried, to be remembered.

Each line reaches for the unspoken, unearthing the rhythms of love, struggle, and survival with uncompromising honesty. This is poetry that sings, poetry that bleeds, and poetry that will not let you go.

Open Longwinded and prepare to be undone.

Sadiki Connickie is a Jamaican born poet, educator, and public speaker whose work explores themes of memory, identity, and redemption. A proud graduate of the Mico University where he gained accreditation in English Language and Literature, Sadiki combines his background in literature with lived experience to craft writing that is both unflinchingly honest and lyrical. Longwinded marks his debut collection, blending Caribbean rhythms, cultural reflection and deeply personal insight. Beyond the page, Sadiki is dedicated to teaching, mentoring and helping others find confidence in their voice. His poetry speaks both to struggle and hope, affirming the power of words to connect people across time, place and circumstance.
