Luna and the Moon

Luna is an only child born into a poor household, on a small island in the middle of the ocean, where the days are hot and the nights are cool. What Luna lacks in material things, her family more than make up for in love and kindness. There are no other children on the island, and when Luna was born, she was welcomed to the village as a gift from above. Luna's life has been guided"”through her childhood"”by her one constant playmate, forming a bond that will last a lifetime.

Janine was born in London in 1988. From a young age, she was always fascinated with literature, whether reading or writing, and often wrote plays and poetry at school.
Janine went travelling in South East Asia and was inspired by the countries she visited, the culture and the people she met.
Janine volunteered in a children's school whilst in Cambodia, working with extremely disadvantaged children, and witnessed first-hand the power a story can have.
