One of society’s main problems today is a lack of self-love; this is evident in the way most people live their lives – sadly, I was also part of the statistic. The fact that I was not living life to the full bothered me in many ways. I was not running my own race; I constantly compared myself to others; I had not accepted myself for who I was, and I had not taken full responsibility for my life. I was merely alive and confused. Although everything on the outside looked good, I felt miserable. I learned the hard way that what goes on inside us is more important than what people can see. A lack of self-love impacted most areas of my life negatively - I knew something needed to change.Once I had surrendered my life to God, He helped me see my own value. I started May to May – My Journey to Self-love with God to move my life in the right direction. After discovering the 20 components that lead to self-love, my life has never been the same. I could finally accept myself just as I was. I am proud to say there is no other race I would rather run than my own. I needed to love myself first, so I could truly live.

Reabetswe Moabi was born in 1992 in Pretoria, South Africa. Growing up, she was always curious and outgoing, marching to the beat of her own drum. Her curiosity led her to travel extensively, learning about different cultures and lifestyles. She later entered the business world and started her own company. Outwardly, all seemed to be well in her life, but deep down, she was unfulfilled. Reabetswe’s life took a remarkable turn when she gave her life to God, surrendering everything to Him.

Today, her faith is the most important thing to her, enabling her to live a meaningful life. Her May to May journey has proved to be an excellent foundation for transformation, purpose-driven living and, most importantly, developing self-love. Reabetswe writes in her spare time, and this is her first book.

What an enjoyable and very educational read. The principles shared apply across all spectrum of age groups. The world would be a better place if we livede by only half of the principles shared. it is highly impressive, well written, and very informative. The content shows a high level of maturity and growth. The book is a must for every young person- self discovery, enjoying solitude, contentment etc. The message from the book is clear. You don't need anyone to complete you. For God made a complete work in us when He created us. May the Lord richly bless you, and empower you more.

I found this book both practical and deeply relatable, offering a transformative journey toward self-love rooted in a relationship with God. It serves as a powerful reminder that it is possible to become the person God has called us to be. A particularly meaningful highlight was the inclusion of a dedicated workbook section inviting readers to begin their own "May to May" journey, a beautiful surprise and a compelling call to action. This book speaks to the heart of every woman, regardless of age, and I believe it holds value for anyone seeking to grow in purpose, faith, and self-love.

This is a real-life story of a young South African woman learning and unlearning what love is when it comes to self, interpersonal relationships with fellow humanity, and ultimately with God. A multi talented young woman from South Africa, Reabetswe takes us through a literal spiritual journey – a pilgrimage of how she balances travel, running her business, the failures in between and how she centres all this in her love for God and humanity. Sitting down with Rea for the first time and listening to her narrate her story made me realise how small the world is – a constant theme in her book which I hope will encourage someone out there to travel the world and discover that we are just but a tiny dot in the bigger picture of this big world – a small dot that matters nonetheless. A combination of a “classy travel book” and a “simplified spiritual journey” – the book interweaves both seamlessly into a beautiful story that is both educational and spiritual. The practical examples of how to love self, and God, and man make it a worthy tool to self-discovery and self-love.
