Janet Bettesworth is a retired art teacher and stand-up comedian. She has lived in South London for over forty years with two dogs (different ones) and her semi-detached husband.
This is her first novel.
I really enjoyed this book, a funny and quirky journey with strong characters and lively illustrations, that explores the revenge of an Airbnb owner whilst getting to know the different shades of each character.
Very amusing romp through the life of a pensioner with an interesting range of acquaintances and an axe to grind.
Janet adds a personal touch and flavour to the characters by incorporating portraits she's drawn herself, that give it an almost Dahlesque feel.
Great read from start to finish!
