Book Description

In the sequel to Eagles, Doves and Vultures, Garfield must escape the wreckage left by the last wellness retreat he conducted. He seeks to save his business while at the same time resetting his personal life.

His business is restructured with changes in ownership and management and renamed “Executive Overhaul”. It offers a more integrated programme of activities, a better guide/participant ratio and added security.

Garfield struggles to reconnect with his children and adjust to being with his new partner, Claudia, 24/7 as the two take steps to promote their business.

A new retreat is organised at the same resort hotel in Noosa. Four new participants assemble. Prudence, a current affairs reporter with Channel 66; Effie, a financial adviser in cryptocurrency; Max, a pastor at Christ Alive Church and a doomsday prepper; and Frankie, a 20-year-old indigenous Australian Rules Football prodigy with new club Canberra Cavaliers.

A series of incendiary events merge, creating a firestorm which forces the participants and the operators to make difficult choices. Some emerge stronger; some continue to struggle.

The frailty of the human condition is explored. The road to redemption is not always easy to find or to follow.
