Mr Hadlow has worked in East London as a teacher for many years. He also has a young family who enjoy reading and writing. His children and their pets and toys are involved in lots of antics.
In order to inspire and entertain Mr Hadlow’s own children, the children at school and the children beyond, he decided to write about what went on at home.
I've met the author, he's currently the head teacher at Winston Way Academy, Ilford, Essex as well as Shaftesbury Primary, Forest Gate London. The book is great. The children here at school love it, they really like the stories read to them, especially by Mr Hadlow. Children ask him about 'Mr Hadlow Has...' and about his children and creatures daily. Its a superb example for a head teacher to set; writing for children and inspiring them to read and to write.
This is a thoroughly splendid book. My kids won't put it down and ask for one of the stories at bedtime every night. Really excellent, so pleased I bought it for them.
This is a fantastic book, my son loves it. Really good to see a head teacher put his money where his mouth is and write a book for children. The illustrations are great and the stories are highly original. I'm having to read a story every night and to be honest, I don't mind because they are so entertaining.
Mr Hadlow Has... is a terrific little book. My girl loves it and my boy has just got hooked on the story about the snake. Its the favourite bedtime book!
My children enjoy reading these stories out loud to me. I'm so pleased, I never thought my son would be into books. Mr Hadlow Has... is excellent!

I really like this book. My mum bought it for me and now its my favourite. I'm glad to see Emily is in one of the stories. The one about Boudica is best!
