This book has the potential to raise our consciousness and sensitivity in a manner that we realise the impediments posed by stage fright and how to deal with this enemy in public speaking and presentation! It tells those who struggle with public speaking to not be afraid and to persevere as much as they can – to strike the right note! Beyond this, My Imaginary Friend takes us on a fictive journey to realise that humans can sometimes have more capacity – emotional, spiritual and intellectual – than they can imagine. Understanding this ‘truth’ can make us better prepared to deal with anxiety, stage fright and a lack of confidence, which can be an obstacle to achieving our dreams – in particular making a public presentation in the midst of people who might judge us wrongly.

Jesse Ucheoma Fred-Nwagbara is an eleven-year-old who likes writing stories and has been doing so since he was seven. Outside writing, Jesse likes to play in team sports. His favourite sport is football but he also enjoys other sports such as tag rugby and basketball.

This is a tale that should be read, it is a story of life before many technical things existed, a much less complicated and innocent lifestyle. It captivates the reader with humour, poetry and makes you smile.
The character of Jackson is the main figure of the story but his friends Mr. Bomp, Hardigadeez and Dookandat endear themselves to you as they do to Jackson himself.
This lifestyle was embraced by me as a child and I can relate to Jackson's story. This is an honest tale of love and smiles to capture children and adults alike. It truly is a good read.
