Naughty in Pink is his first children’s novel.
We love this book, mainly for its description of a lively and lovely girl. The illustrations were especially lovely, which effectively carries the little girl’s personalities from the page, just like a little girl in our neighbourhood. Reading this book is the same as accompanying my daughter and makes me feel comfortable.
I have just finished reading the book. It is a fantastic journey to go with the authors to meet the amazing world. I look forward to seeing my little son will be able to understand and listen to my reading in a short future.
The story and journal in the book itself indeed are pretty good, and if I were the authors, I would put more pictures that will be much easier for the young kids. By the way, is there any way that we could get a Chinese version for this copy?
This book is really funny, not only for kids! I rarely laughed so much while reading this book. The main character appears to be so real and she reminds me of a friend from my school years. I have bought a copy for my little nephew, too.
Pretty in Pink was written by my grandfather, and Daisy's appearance, and maybe a couple of the stories in the book are based on me, my brother Josh and my imaginary friend Murray!
The story is fun, full of laughs and practical jokes. It reminds me of when Dogly (our name for our Grandfather) used to tell us stories of Daisy Dikdocks silly antics. We would laugh for hours staying up late listening to her adventures.
We have bought some copies of the book to give to my friends and I hope you do too, because it lots of fun, a little bit naughty and a very good read. I hope the next edition of Daisy's adventures comes out soon!!
A funny and entertaining story perfect for primary school children.
Highly recommended to read aloud to younger children or for them to read themselves.
Everyone will get a giggle out of this one.
I loved this story. The original telling of the adventures of Daisy Dikdocks kept my children entertained for hours. Great to see it in print!
What a fantastic children's book! Reminds me of the stories my grandfather used to tell me when I was young! Very well written and well illustrated, we need more children's books like this.
As a mother of a 6-year-old girl named Elly, who has the honor to be a character of this story, I really enjoyed all the naughty things that Daisy did in this book. I couldn’t help myself laughing when reading the book to Elly, and she is thrilled to be a character in the book and likes it so much. It takes love and childlike hearts to note down the daily behavior of girls and, more importantly, the writer must have the mind of a naughty kid inside him to think of all these funny stories. I think that Professor David Groves fits this description of an observant and amusing writer very well.
