Bella is a beautiful and feisty undergraduate when she is badly beaten and raped by Jasper Crediton, another student. For his own purposes her father connives in a cover-up and Crediton escapes justice. This leaves Bella with a deep sense of betrayal and fear of physical violence. Some years later she is befriended by a rich Australian woman of her own age, Tigger Macdonald. Hearing Bella’s story and that Crediton is now a rising star in the City of London, Tigger decides on revenge.

Using her money and contacts she embarks on a campaign to destabilise Bella’s attacker. Alarmed, Crediton is concerned that his past will destroy his future. As Tigger’s campaign becomes more intrusive, Crediton’s reaction becomes more violent and he attempts to eliminate Tigger. This thrilling tale of vengeance, trauma, and violence takes readers from the South of England to Greece in a consistently compelling adventure.
