This little gem of a poetry collection, the expression of thoughts and reflections over its author's lifetime, is an example of something that contradicts the maxim that you cannot judge a book by its cover. The beautifully designed cover, with its combination of serene beach-front setting, conducive to reflection, and it's sombre colors, with a hint of a storm in the skies and a strong rush of incoming waves and the lone figure of man, looking out calmly, on that ocean, paints the emotional picture that is reflected in the poems. These vary in tone and subject but each contains a combination of a sense of beauty and lightness in existence and a deep perception of the difficult undercurrents that lay beneath much of life. These poems are little treasures to peruse when you want to be that person, sitting on the beach, looking back or forward, thinking about things.
