Tom is a young boy who lives in a cottage beside a farm, isolated from the village, with his family. Tom helps his father in looking after all the animals on the farm. His favourite animal is a chick named Goldie, who is very special to him because of his golden feathers. The family had stopped taking the sheep to graze as they were afraid of the foxes’ attacks. One day, Goldie is missing and is lost in the woods! Will he ever find his way back home?

I am 8 years old. I read this book and enjoyed it. I like the story about the rabbit helping the chick. It made me happy to read animals helping each other the animals stood up to the bad foxes. I want to read more stories like this.
