Onion Buddy is a celebration of ‘different is beautiful’. The story is for every child. It is about a young boy in the form of an onion who is learning to navigate through some of the common challenges of childhood, including desperately wanting to feel accepted, and knowing when to stand up for oneself. His mother is his greatest support, as she bolsters her son with words of positive encouragement and devoted love. His self-realisation is the turning point in his colourful and cheerful ‘blooming’.
