Growing up is difficult when you’re a young boy trying to navigate the perils of life. It is even more difficult when your childhood has been riddled with mental, physical and sexual abuse. From Paul to Paula — the story of a Teenage T-Girl follows the life of a young boy named Paul who has never seen even a glimmer of love. It is through his yearning for love and understanding that he soon discovers that the secret to his happiness, and to the life he wishes to live, can be found in the unlikeliest of places. Young Paul soon learns that with a little help from his friends, he can go a long way and live the life he wants to live; a life where he is known as Paula rather than Paul. This is the story of a young boy who, in the face of the greatest of adversaries, discovers that the power of love transcends all.

Paul Travers is  President Emeritus and Examiner of a prestigious learned body and a total individualist who is perfectly indifferent to public opinion and proud of his eccentricity. He enjoys writing and classical music and firmly believes there is more fun to be had by growing old disgracefully rather than gracefully. This book is based on his own experiences of a life which, to say the least, has been colourful and exciting. Many years ago he worked as a professional drag artiste and is honest enough to admit that he was totally devoid of talent. He got away with it simply because, unlike many others of that era, he had the courage to get up and do it. He is a firm believer in the old adage ‘life is what you make it’.

An amazing heartwarming journey you’re taken on.
All my respect and admiration to the author and for being so innocently expressive...it’s what’s not said that’s so genuinely heart breaking. Can’t wait for the next book!
