Join Pete the Potty Pirate and the crew of the Golden Hound as they sail the Caribbean on their search for Spanish Gold. Meet Polly the duck, Pete’s friend and confidant, and find out why sometimes life on the ocean waves isn’t what it’s cracked up to be.

Sandy Beech was born in England, just outside the village of Ecclesfield in South Yorkshire. Always the ‘tom-boy’, she loved the adventurous tales of pirates, knights and wizards. Her English teacher encouraged her to write but it wasn't until she emigrated to Australia in 1987 and was blessed with two children, that she picked up the pen and began to write adventure stories for them. Sandy was a registered nurse for thirty-two years and enjoyed her chosen profession immensely. However, this took up a lot of her time. It wasn't until she had an unfortunate car accident and retired from nursing that she began to write again. This is Sandy's first published work and hopefully there will be more to come.

Highly entertaining kids book! Sandy has a unique voice, and has a lovely way of describing people who just don't quite fit in with the usual stereotypes. I can't wait for her next one!
