A truly delightful children’s fiction book with beautifully illustrated drawings. These seven enchanting woodlands stories, which all took place a long time ago in the vast magical woodlands, far away on the north side of the Earth, will capture the imagination of the younger audience.

The adventures of these magical woodlands and their leading characters provide a charming atmosphere to capture those wildest of imaginations. A mystical animal that can cast precious stones out of thin air, an amazing bird that glows as bright as a flame or even an unusual magic flower that can grant your wishes.

Each story contains an underlying moral presence of what is good and bad to help teach the young reader. The best outcome of each of these wonderful and exciting adventures is capturing the creativity and involving the reader through an array of textual sound imitations to emphasise the impact of each meaning.

Follow the mysterious Silver Hoofed Goat through the woods, fly with the exotic Firebird and even swim with the Princes Swan in the lake. These short magic stories are only the beginning.

The author, Ludmila Vengrovskaya, was born in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk, Russia. She grew up in an environment where the traditional craftsmen’s way of life was commonplace for the residents within the city. During her childhood, Ludmila listened to fascinating fairy tales and folk stories, as well as enjoying and advancing her own arts and crafts skills. These things, with time, developed Ludmila’s imagination and she became a very creative artist and later a writer.

After moving to England to start a family, Ludmila continued to develop her creative skills and became a graphic designer, teacher and children’s book writer. In her first written and self-illustrated children’s fiction book, Seven Woodlands Magic Stories, Ludmila combined her vivid imagination with some elements of folklore fairy tales. She presented her charming and colourful magical stories with underlining morals that teach young readers to choose to behave in the right way in life.

Reading this book takes me back to my childhood.
My sense of imagination skyrockets when conceptualising the stories and characters in the stories, which are only amplified by the marvelous illustrations by the artistically gifted Author Ludmilla Vengrovskaya.
There's a sense of folklore intertwined in these stories which sets it apart from other books which are aimed at the children's target market and I found that to be the reason I kept on rereading it with my little ones who thoroughly enjoying reading along with me and marveling at the vibrant pictures inside, not a book to be looked over!

My daughter loved to listen these lovely and colourful magic stories. We read all the stories twice. Really recommend for parents to buy for the kids to read.
