Snails Around Britain is a travelogue for those who believe that adventure begins when you stop rushing. It’s a love story, a comedy, and a gentle rebellion against the tyranny of haste.

John Bosley is retired and thoroughly enjoying life. With his wife, Kate, he is a long standing member of the San Fairy Ann Cycling Club, based in Kent. John has lived in Maidstone for over 30 years and is very proud of his four adult children—Charlotte, Hannah, Josh and Sarah—and at the moment four grandchildren—Rudy, Bailey, Wrenand Elowen.

John has written this book as a humorous and informative record of an amazing tandem cycle ’round France in summer 2023 so that he can remember it. It is hard enough trying to remember what you did the previous day on a cycle tour, let alone 74 days of cycling! John and Kate have just completed a tandem ride round Britain (Summer 2025) - now it’s time to write book two!
