Have you ever wondered, what it’s like to get a puppy?

Would you get a collie? Or a little Bichon Frisé?
Or you could get a dachshund who comes up to your knees.

It must always be fun with lots of kisses and cuddles.
It surely won’t be hard and cause you lots of trouble…
You get a new best friend to go with to the beach,
And they do loads of tricks that you might get to teach.

But what if you get a puppy who is really bad,
You must think that can’t happen or that I have gone mad.
Well that is what you’ll find this story is about,
Stevie the Sausage dog and how I want him out.

This is a story about a little girl and her new puppy, Stevie. Follow her through the ups and downs of getting a new pet.

Kirsty Cochrane is an author of children’s picture books, making her debut with Stevie the Sausage Dog. She was born and raised in Paisley, Scotland and still lives there with her husband and two dogs. When not writing in her spare time, she works as an Operations Manager in a company that makes packaging. She loves walking her dogs, napping with her dogs, and chilling with her dogs.
