Book Description

DI Donovan Temple knows the Severn Valley hides secrets. But this? A string of brutal crimes, each more chilling than the last. The culprits? Simon and Jimi, ruthless enforcers for a shadowy organised crime group.

Temple’s investigation pulls him deeper into a web of violence and corruption. Every clue leads to more questions. Every step closer to the truth puts him in greater danger.

The clock is ticking. The stakes are rising. And Temple? He’s running out of time.

Temple County Lines is a gripping crime thriller where loyalty is tested, justice is elusive, and the line between right and wrong blurs. Can Temple stop the OCG before they strike again? Or will the valley’s dark secrets bury him first?

Phillip A Young is married and has three adult children; he resides in the lovely Georgian town of Bewdley in Worcestershire, UK. He had a very successful career in IT before retiring, which gave him time to spend redeveloping homes. However, in 2015, he was diagnosed with cancer, and the repercussions from the therapy caught up with him in later years, forcing him to take life easier.

His health has been getting better over the past few years, which has allowed him to pursue his love of writing. His favourite books are fast-paced criminal dramas and thrillers, particularly those written by authors such as Lee Child and James Patterson. In 2007, Phil penned and self-published his autobiography, “2 Much 2 Young”, after winning a major award for his work in the IT industry. More recently Phil has been working on a trilogy of books based around the character Donovan Temple; ‘County Lines’ is the first of these books. Phil is very excited to see his characters come to life and for readers to enjoy them.
