Hedgehogs are becoming an increasingly rare sight to see in the UK. They are one of the most loved mammals native to the UK. This book follows the night-time adventures that hedgehogs face in a light-hearted way. You’ll see the animals that Vern may meet and how you at home could entice Vern into your garden.

Laura has a degree in ecology and wildlife conservation and has been teaching for over 10 years on specialist sessions for primary and secondary schools. She has worked with a variety of animals, which range from mischievous meerkats to curious crocodiles. Laura loves being outdoors and thoroughly enjoys her job as a field ecologist, looking for snakes, lizards and bats! Laura loves British wildlife and her favourite animal is a slow worm. Her aim is to spread the word of the amazing animals people can find right here in England. Laura’s company (Discover Nature) recently won an award for Environmental Education Company of the Year - South England.
