Mrs Paws is the creation of Christine Gregory, and through a short series of stories, her antics and adventures with her and her friends come to light. On the door of a small room within the cottage of Mr and Mrs Gregory is a quaint little sign that reads ‘Enchanted Teddy and Dolly Sanctuary’, so called because there’s something quite magical behind this door. It came as such a shock to Mrs Gregory when she realised that her cuddlesome bear, along with some of her friends, actually came to life. So read on and find out just what they get up to in this cosy little cottage, the mystical wood and, of course, the fairy garden, but be sure not to tell anyone, this is your very own secret.

Christine was raised and educated in the St Helens area of Merseyside and has since lived in Abergavenny and Cumbria, finally settling in Formby, where she has lived for well over 30 years, bringing up her two daughters and enjoying a long and happy career with the NHS. She has been a professional writer now for over 17 years, writing inspirational verse for major greeting card company ‘Write from the Heart’ of Grassroots International.

During this time, Christine has published two books of poetry; this is her first attempt at a children’s book. Having been a storyteller since her youth, Christine admits to always having had a childlike imagination and to never having quite grown up, she also goes on to say that “living in a small cottage in the English countryside with a garden brimming with character, it’s so easy to let your imagination run wild”.

She would like to welcome you all to the magical world of Mrs Paws.

Brought this book to read it to the children at the nursery I work in. It went down a treat. So much so I've purchased another copy for a friend of mine who is due to have her first baby. This is an absolutely fantastic book would highly recommend. Beautifully written by a fantastic author.

We bought this for our 1yr 5months niece, for Xmas. She loves having books read to her and Mrs Paws is definitely favourite for a bedtime read. Excellent addition to the bookshelf and one she can keep as she grows up.

  • MRS LUCY

I bought this book for my two Grandsons aged 3 and 5 and they loved it, especially when Mrs Paws gets stuck on the slide because she is a bit chubby and enjoys eating chocolates and mince pies a little too much.

I bought this lovely book for my grandchildren for Christmas, what a hit it was !! It is absolutely charming and they loved it. They are asking me to get them some more Mrs.Paws stories, so let's hope that the author is busy as we speak. The illustrations are very good too. All around, an enjoyable read. A satisfied customer.

The Antics Of Mrs Paws by Christine Gregory is a wonderful collection of six stories for the under fives, about a delightful bear called Mrs Paws.
The book fires up the imagination of both children and adults, who are reading it, alike. Mrs Paws is brought to life under the masterful pan of the author.
All the stories are warm and welcoming, about everyday things that are easy to imagine – going on holiday, baking etc. They are told in the third person as the reader is drawn into the tale.
The book is beautifully illustrated. Mrs Paws is delightfully round and just crying out to be loved and hugged by all.
I think the Mrs Paws tales would translate perfectly into a Pixar series for the young, and not so young, children. I would love to see merchandise too – who wouldn’t want a lovely Mrs Paws to cuddle?
This book would be a welcome addition to any child’s bookcase.
I received a free copy from the publishers. A favourable review was not required. All opinions are my own.
