In the small town of Dunverry, whispers of destiny stir four friends, each with their eyes set on joining the Core: a legendary cadre sworn to protect the realms of man from the coming threat of the orcs.

Trae, Jaroe, Raf and Ike must negotiate their own perilous path, their fates intertwined, leading them to a fateful reunion at midsummer festival. As they face trials that challenge their courage and test their mettle, the kingdom is thrust into turmoil by the death of a king, setting the stage for a maelstrom of anarchy.

Amidst the chaos, a dark conspiracy unfurls, orchestrated by shadowy figures with nefarious plans. As alliances crumble one question lingers: can the march to war truly be halted?

To the east the orcs gather, watching, waiting, biding their time…

Anthony Griffin fell for the genre of fantasy at an early age after visiting the local library and spying a book cover with a diminutive figure standing before a circular doorway. He never quite fell out of love with the genre.

He spent much of his life in Harlow, Essex but now resides in Ware, Hertfordshire. Having moved from one uninspired vocation to another, he settled for some time as a driving instructor before finally daring to turn his hand to creative writing.
