Book Description

Beatrice Bumble may dream of being a respected leader for Buzzington Palace, but she faces one minor problem… Well, those erratic wings of hers are always getting her into trouble! Can this bumbling princess overcome her biggest fear of all, accepting her own uniqueness? With the kindness and support of another queen, anything is possible. Perhaps even a whole new world…

Oh, and you may make some friends along the way, from Mr Randolph Ribbet, a melodramatic toad, to joining Rodney Rat’s gang in the greatest Pearl Heist in history. So pour yourself a cup of Honeysuckle tea, whip out those Royal Jelly sandwiches and brace yourself; Beatrice is taking you on a rollercoaster of an adventure…

This sweet story shows children that true leaders don't need to be perfect. The queen's funny, gentle mishaps make her feel like a comforting friend for anyone who has ever felt a bit awkward.

A lovely uplifting story with a fitting message for today's society - you do not need to change for the world but in fact the world can adapt to you. My daughter loved it!

This is a beautiful, heartwarming little book! The Big Clumsy Queen Bee is a charming story filled with humour, warmth and a truly meaningful message. The author has created a wonderful character who is easy to love and relate to, and children will enjoy following her journey. What I particularly love is the gentle way the story encourages children to embrace who they are, celebrate their differences and understand that it’s perfectly okay not to get everything right. Sometimes the things that make us feel a little “clumsy” or different are exactly what make us special. The story and illustrations work beautifully together, creating a gorgeous book to share with little ones. It’s not only an enjoyable read but also a wonderful way to open up conversations about confidence, kindness and the importance of being yourself. There is also a lovely message for parents, reminding us to encourage our children, celebrate their individuality and reassure them that they don’t have to be perfect. It gently highlights how important our support, patience and understanding can be as they grow in confidence and learn to believe in themselves. A gorgeous, feel-good story with a big heart — one I would wholeheartedly recommend this book to all ages .
