This is a fascinating tale with adventure and laughs. It conjures up a magical world that hopefully might just be true. I bought the e-book, but I think other kids would prefer the physical copy, which is a good size and feels classy with engaging pictures that complement the enchanting story.
An author to watch as Isabel Nash writes such vividly imaginative stories and both adults and children will really enjoy. She writes for children with real insight to what they might feel. It’s an energetic adventure and one that the reader will remember for a long time. Highly recommended!
I bought this book for my four-year-old grandson. After reading a few pages I realized that he was becoming distracted but I was enjoying it so I continued reading it.
It's a lovely story about a young boy called Josh who finds a stone in a river and this is the beginning of a very exciting adventure.
It is written beautifully. Very descriptive making you feel that you are there enjoying the adventure with Josh.
I would highly recommend this book. Might be better for 6years.
It’s good to see a children’s book that promotes independence, caring about the natural world and living in the imagination.
Very much liked the concept of the blue stones living in a babbling stream.
A magical rollercoaster for the readers and Josh!
It is a very well written book. Full of great descriptive words, lovely illustrations and a very exciting read. I would highly recommend it.
My children loved this book and the beautiful illustrations (which really come to life in the printed version). The arguing, eating and upcycling antics of McGuffin and co were particularly entertaining for all of us. A great story. Highly recommend.
I bought this book for my son and it’s such a wonderful story. My son so enjoyed Isabel's first book The Ebony Horse and this new one doesn’t disappoint. It’s a great story and a fun read. I can’t recommend it more highly.
A fascinating little book with beautifully descriptive passages that flow along much like the water which is central to the story.
