An undercover CIA officer, just back from a walk, gets killed in a hit-and-run in Erdut, Croatia, just after the war. The UN investigator he was chatting with disappears. The Irish Republican Army are trying to buy weapons from Serb irregular forces but their quartermaster gets more than he bargained for.

It is a lucrative business, people trafficking. The hope in peoples faces when they are ‘selected’ gives no indication of the terrors they are being chosen for. Escaping from Mexico, from Wuhan in China, from war-torn Syria, these people get bought by the rich, powerful and ill. Only a very secret UN organisation, The Committee, has the wherewithal to find the truth. All paths lead to Ireland but what is at the end of the paths? And why is a President of the United States involved?

An evocative, well-researched, and thought-provoking novel that helps to enlighten the reader about a subject matter to which many people would prefer to turn a blind eye. Human trafficking, body organs to order, all happening under the nose of humanity. A horrifying trade that occurs worldwide at many levels. This is perhaps one of the rawest books I have read recently. I am still recalling chilling mind's eyes images from the book several weeks after reading it. This book will leave shock waves in your mind and a burning need to help stop this terrible trade. Buy the book, highly recommended. This needs to be turned into a TV series or film.
